Silvia de Egea is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst specializing in child and adolescent psychoanalysis. She maintains a private practice in Asunción and is a Full Member of the Psychoanalytic Association of Asunción (APdeA), where she currently serves as Vice President of the Board and as a professor at the Institute. She also coordinates the APdeA Publications Committee.
