What do we think and what do we do with couples and families in Psychoanalysis?
Join us in Madrid for this exciting international conference. Members of the IPA Committee together with international contributors to the field of couple and family psychoanalysis will present cases, discussions and papers from different theoretical persuasions and from different regions of the world. All proceedings will have simultaneous translation between Spanish and English. The conference is supported by the IPA and by its CAPSA Program which enables the exchange among analysts from different IPA regions.

A one-day Pre-Congress
Sponsored by the IPA Couple and Family Psychoanalysis Committee.
This first part of our meetings is a more intimate event which offers ample time for discussion of clinical cases and for discussion with the audience.
Featured presentations by Diana Norsa and Anna Nicolò (Italy),Timothy Keogh (Australia), and John Zinner (USA), who will present a video of a brief family intervention (in English, subtitled in Spanish). Discussants will be Janine Puget (Argentina), Carl Bagnini (USA), Damian McCann (Great Britain), Jill Scharff (USA) and Maria Eugenia Cid (Spain).

This 3-day conference is co-arranged by the IPA Committee and the Madrid Psychoanalytical Association. Some other institutions from outside IPA are also aware of the significance of this congress and are important collaborators of the event, including the International Psychotherapy Institute of Washington DC, and the International Association for Couple and Family Psychoanalysis.
Each day will feature detailed presentation of cases, discussants, and audience discussion. There will also be papers on central ideas in couple and family psychoanalysis, and a closing clinical exercise featuring direct clinical material discussed by formal discussants and by the audience.

Primer día de Pre-congreso (jornada completa de trabajo)

Esta primera parte de los encuentros constituirá un evento más íntimo que ofrecerá abundante tiempo para fomentar la discusión de casos clínicos y el intercambio con la audiencia.
Contaremos con destacadas presentaciones a cargo de Diana Norsa y Anna Nicolò (Italia), Timothy Keogh (Australia) y John Zinner (EEUU) que presentará un video de una intervención familiar breve (en inglés subtitulada en español). El congreso que tendrá una duración de tres días está organizado por el comité de IPA junto a la Asociación Psicoanalítica de Madrid. Otras prestigiosas instituciones de fuera de IPA reconociendo la gran significancia de este evento se han hecho eco del mismo transformándose en importantes colaboradores, entre otros contamos con el Instituto Internacional de Psicoterapia de Washington DC y la Asociación Internacional de Psicoanálisis de Pareja y Familia.
En cada una de las jornadas de trabajo contaremos con destacadas presentaciones de casos clínicos, comentadas por discutidores en las que se fomentará el intercambio con la audiencia. También contaremos con aportaciones sobre las ideas centrales con las que se piensa en psicoanálisis de familia y pareja, y un ejercicio final de cierre que será trabajado en directo por diferentes discutidores y los asistentes.
