Founded in 1926, the Paris Psychoanalytic Society (SPP) has the status of a non-profit organisation, with its resources coming from membership dues, donations and legacies. The SPP is a recognized association of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA). The SPP now has about 800 active members registered among the alumni of the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
