The Israel Psychoanalytic Society is a non-profit organization whose objectives focus on the cultivation, promotion and dissemination of psychoanalysis. The Society is one of the oldest members of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) and the European Psychoanalytic Federation (EPF), and has about 100-200 members and interns.
Members are clinical psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers from the front line who trained at the Israeli Psychoanalytic Institute, or one recognised by the International Psychoanalytical Association.
The Society initiates scientific conferences, encourages its members to participate in clinical workshops and annual study groups, and supports the translation and publication of psychoanalytic literature.
The Society also offers psychoanalytic treatment at a discounted price by experienced therapists who specialize in the psychoanalytic institute.
