Research

The Research Committee is composed of a Chair and three Co-Chairs, one from each IPA Region (who are vice-chairs of the specialist sub-committees). The two sub-committees are the Research Grants Subcommittee and the Research Training Programme/Sandler Conference Subcommittee. Our current Chair is Prof. Dr. phil. Siri Erika Gullestad with Co-Chairs: Dr. Charles P. Fisher,  Prof. Dr. Stephan Hau, and Assoc. Prof. Rogério Lerner. All Chairs and Co-Chairs are internationally recognised active researchers in the fields of psychoanalytic research.

Since 1997, the IPA has been awarding grants to researchers whose work advances psychoanalytic knowledge.
