CLINICAL DISCUSSION GROUPS
IPA Communication Committee | Coordinator: Gabriela Rouillon

September - December 2026

DEFINITION
Clinical Discussion Groups are groups for the discussion of clinical material brought by its participants, moderated by an accomplished psychoanalyst. The group will meet once a month for 4 months (4 meetings in total), each encounter lasting for one hour and a half (90 minutes). Each group will gather 10 to 15 participants. At the end of the activity, a text could be written with the conclusions the group may have reached about theory, technique, or new thoughts that may have arisen (optative). This may be submitted to be uploaded to the Knowledge Hub on the IPA website.
