Augusto Escribens Trisano was born in Callao on January 17, 1945. He studied Linguistics and Literature at UNMSM. Later, he studied a master's degree at Cornell University, where he holds a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics. Escribens was a Ford Foundation Fellow. He is the author of several publications such as Gramática del Quechua de Huaylas. He was trained as a psychoanalyst at the Institute of Psychoanalysis of the SPP where he was a full member and analyst in didactic function, as well as a teacher. He has published countless articles on psychoanalytic theory and technique in various journals. He won the Ciro Martyns award for a collection of poems included in this publication.
