Rhoda Bawdekar

We, the members of the Communications Committee, are deeply bereaved by the loss of our colleague and coworker, a longstanding collaborator with our Committee, IPA Staff Member Rhoda Bawdekar.

Rhoda had multiple talents, and was able to organize our efforts, create graphics, and offer guidance to us on the Communications Committee as we worked towards creating the face of the IPA. If you have seen our website, newsletters, or social media posts, you have seen her work.

Rhoda was a unique individual. Besides offering her talents and expertise with generosity, she was exquisitely kind and caring. To work with her was like spending time with a friend or close cousin; she had an uncanny ability to put one at ease and make one feel warm and respected.

Rhoda was young and vivacious. We are shocked and saddened by her loss, and send our deepest condolences to her family.

Dear Rhoda, we will miss you so much. May you rest in peace.

Sincerely,

A Chris Heath, Chair of IPA Communications
Silvia Wajnbuch, immediate past Chair, IPA Communications
On behalf of the IPA Communications Committee.
