Work with us

Some of our staff at the IPA's 2019 International Congress The International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) exists to advance psychoanalysis and is the world’s primary accrediting and regulatory body for the profession. Our mission is to ensure the continued vigour and development of the science of psychoanalysis globally.

The future of psychoanalysis is widely debated, and the IPA has an important role to play in its continued relevance and success. We have a role to support members by fostering and enhancing their sense of participation and belonging to the psychoanalytic community, which is a fascinating and complex challenge given the cultural differences that exist from South America to Europe and North America to Asia.

Our Office is based in central London, near St Pancras and Kings Cross, and therefore easily accessible.  It is situated on a canal basin, making it a peaceful environment to work in. The culture in our office is highly international and multicultural, and people who work here tend to be interested in the work of psychoanalysts and enjoy working in a diverse culture.

We want people from all walks of life to contribute to our work and share their experience, expertise and passion.
