International Women's Day - A Message from the former IPA President

Today marks International Women's Day and I would like to take this opportunity to send my warmest greetings to all fellow analysts and candidates.

The past few years have witnessed a collective outcry condemning violence against women and a growing demand for equal rights. I think that we have reached a tipping point from which there is no turning back.

At the same time, we know that there are countless women on the planet still suffering inhumane living conditions.

It is my hope that we can continue working together, all those colleagues who form part of IPA without distinction of gender, striving towards a world with greater equality of opportunities and tolerance of differences, and less social violence.

We must continue making our voices heard as part of an open, inclusive Psychoanalysis, attentive to the serious problems that humanity is facing.
