Women, Violence, and the Unconscious: A Social Dreaming Approach

Join us for a 90-minute virtual panel hosted by the International Psychoanalytical Association for the annual UN Commission on the Status of Women NGO Forum. We’ll delve into women's experiences of violence through a psychoanalytic and social dreaming perspective with practitioners in forensic and community settings. The event highlights women as both victims and perpetrators, using anonymized clinical examples and an experiential workshop consisting of a Social Dreaming Matrix followed by a Dream Reflection Dialogue . Designed for a general audience, it aims to promote collective awareness of the motivations for violence, with confidentiality measures in place for participant safety. Live attendance is mandatory; recordings and AI assistants are not permitted due to the event's sensitive nature.
