Dr Carlos Ríos
We are sorry to announce the passing away of Dr Carlos Ríos who was a Doctor, Specialist in Psychiatry, Professor of Psychopathology in the University of Plata, Training Analyst and ex-member on the Board of APdeBA. He also served as a Professor at the University Institute of Mental Health. He was a Member of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) and FEPAL, amongst others.
Dr Ríos was author of numerous psychoanalytic works on teens, epistemology and addiction. He was renowned for his depth of knowledge and his standing as an analyst and eminent professor.
Throughout his life he was noted for his human qualities and high standard of ethics alongside his psychoanalytic and scientific presence.
Dr Ríos collaborated with several institutions, helping to train new generations of psychoanalysts. His contribution and legacy will sow the seeds for all those that follow.
Lamentamos comunicar el fallecimiento del Dr Carlos Ríos quien fue Médico, Especialista en Psiquiatría, Catedrático de Psicopatología en la Universidad de la Plata y Psicoanalista miembro fundador, Miembro Titular con función didáctica y ex miembro de la Comisión Directiva de APdeBA. Asimismo fue profesor Titular del Iusam como así también Miembro de la Asociación Psicoanalítica Internacional (IPA) y de FEPAL, entre otras.
Autor de numerosos trabajos de Psicoanálisis de adolescentes, de Epistemología y de Adicciones.
Sobresalió por su enorme cultura, excelente analista y prestigioso docente.
Durante toda su vida mantuvo una calidad humana y ética notable, así como una gran profundidad Psicoanalítica y seriedad científica.
Colaboró con varias Instituciones ayudando a formar nuevas generaciones de Psicoanalistas y, sin lugar a dudas, su aporte quedará grabado en todos los que lo conocieron cómo semillas fecundas dispuestas a ser reproducidas.
