The Spanish Psychoanalytical Society is a component society of the International Psychoanalytical Association since 1959. It is a scientific society that strives for the development and diffusion of psychoanalysis. It is also responsible for the training of psychoanalysts, following the IPA standards, through the Barcelona Institute of Psychoanalysis (IPB).
The Society currently has 91 members, and 52 professionals undertaking training.
