Psychoanalytic Training Today Award
The Psychoanalytic Training Today Award was initiated in 2002 by the IPA Education Committee to recognize the best submitted paper on the study and development of psychoanalytic training models.
2023 Winner
In 2023 the IPA Education Committee presented the award to Zelig Libermann, a member of the Porto Alegre Psychoanalytical Society for his paper Concluding the analytic training: a dialogue experience.
Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst. Training Analyst of Porto Alegre Psychoanalytic Society (SPPA) and professor at its Institute of Psychoanalysis, as well as President of SPPA (2018-2019) and Director of the Institute (2020-2021). He is the author of several articles and book chapters on psychoanalysis, addressing topics as memory, après-coup, narcissism, death drive, and André Green’s work.

Justin Richardson, MD is a clinical and academic psychiatrist and psychoanalyst with a longstanding interest in sexual development, self-esteem regulation, and parenting. A Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Richardson is Director of the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research.
